Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) resin is a versatile fluoropolymer known for its exceptional properties, including high-temperature resistance, chemical inertness, and excellent electrical insulation. Symb ChemTech offers a comprehensive range of FEP resins tailored to meet diverse industrial needs. Our FJP series delivers consistent quality and performance across various applications.
Key Properties of Symb ChemTech FEP Resins:
Our FEP resins exhibit a unique combination of characteristics:
- Wide Temperature Range: With melting peak temperatures around 260-265°C ± 15°C, our FEP resins maintain their integrity in demanding thermal environments.
- Excellent Chemical Resistance: FEP is resistant to a broad range of chemicals, making it ideal for corrosive applications.
- Superior Electrical Properties: Low dielectric constant and dissipation factor ensure excellent electrical insulation performance.
- High Purity: Low visible black dot numbers and volatile content guarantee high-quality material.
- Variety of Melt Flow Rates (MFR): We offer resins with varying MFRs (from 0.8-2.0 to 15-32 g/10min) to suit different processing techniques.
- Robust Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength exceeding 20 MPa and elongation at break greater than 275% provide durability and flexibility.
Symb ChemTech FEP Resin Grades:
We offer four primary grades, each designed for specific applications:
- FJP-1: Ideal for insulating small-gauge high-temperature wires and sheathing small-gauge data and communication cables.
- FJP-2: Suitable for insulation and sheathing of high-temperature wires, most-gauge data and communication cables, and corrosion-resistant tubes and pipes.
- FJP-3: Primarily used for insulation and sheathing of high-temperature wires and cables. Also suitable for large specification data cables, communication wire sheathing, and high-temperature and corrosion-resistant insulation, pipes, and films.
- FJP-4: Widely used as a liner for valves, pumps, and tubes, providing excellent chemical resistance and protection.
Applications:
Symb ChemTech FEP resins find applications in various industries, including:
- Wire and Cable: Insulation and sheathing for high-temperature and data communication cables.
- Chemical Processing: Liners for pipes, valves, pumps, and tanks due to excellent chemical resistance.
- Electronics: Insulation for electrical components and circuit boards.
- Automotive: Components requiring high-temperature and chemical resistance.
Packaging, Storage, and Handling:
Our FEP resins are supplied as translucent pellets, packaged in double-strengthened plastic bags or PE bags within hard carton barrels. Each package weighs 25 ± 0.2 kg. Store in a clean, cool, and dry place, protected from rain, sunlight, moisture, dust, and other impurities.
